The Whisky Room

The newly created Whisky Room at Innes was in times gone by the ‘still’ room, where cold and hot beverages would have been prepared along with the brewing of beer.

In the time since, this storied space has been a billiard toom, dining room – and most importantly it was the officers mess when the house was requisitioned by the RAF In WW2.

A Room with a Story

It was named McGinty’s Tavern after the celebrated song Paddy McGinty’s Goat, while the pub sign painted on the engine cowling of a crashed Liberator plane now adorns the wall above the whisky cabinet. Could there be a more inspirational location in which to learn more about – and sample a few glasses of – Scotland’s most famous export?

The Whisky Cabinet

Our pride and joy, the whisky cabinet contains delicious drams from all over Scotland, not to mention a recently emptied cask from Ballindaloch distillery sits in the corner providing an authentic aroma of Scotland!
