Currently owned by the fifth generation of the same family who took ownership in the 19th century, this incredible holiday home is steeped in history, making it a very special destination for family gatherings and special occasions. If you can tear yourself away from the house and extensive gardens, then the popular coastal resort of Lossiemouth (6 miles) boasts beautiful beaches and sand dunes to wander along. Take a boat ride for dolphin spotting or deep-sea fishing or pull on your wetsuit for some surfing in the waves. Challenge yourself with a hike up one of the many Munros within easy reach at the Cairngorm National Park (32 miles) or try your hand at angling along the banks of the River Spey (4.5 miles).

Set on a historic estate in the heart of the Moray countryside, your impressive holiday home boasts 20 bedrooms sleeping up to 36 guests making this ideal for family gatherings and celebrations. Approached via a tree-lined driveway through mature parkland, pull up in front of your elegant retreat and step into a home that blends period features with modern luxuries. Spread across three floors and split into four wings, your grand accommodation is spacious and perfect for social occasions. Entering the ground floor you will find a well-equipped kitchen with both an AGA and electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave, suitable for rustling up a hearty breakfast or casual supper to linger over in the smaller of the dining rooms which can also be found on the ground floor. Host cocktail parties or sunset soirees in the East Ballroom, a grand space for entertaining late into the night.

Take the stairs to the first floor for access to both the West and South wings where you will find the living room filled with cosy chairs to curl up in and catch up on the family news in front of the open fire. Further along is the library and drawing room, both lovely spaces to relax with the daily newspapers or enjoy a game of charades. For celebratory meals, seat your guests around the elegant dining table in the Red Ballroom, an imposing room with striped floors, interesting artwork and high ceilings. The first of the 20 bedrooms can also be found on the first floor. The tasteful super-king bedroom is dressed in crisp linens with cosy duvet and tasteful soft-furnishing, and benefits from an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Further along are another two cosy single rooms, a bathroom with shower over bath and WC, and an additional two separate WCs.

There is also a small kitchen on this level, ideal for making a morning coffee or late-night snack. A spacious king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC is situated on the first half-floor of the West Wing. Taking to the first floor of the North and East wings you will find a further five stylish bedrooms. The spacious zip and link super-king bedroom enjoys an en-suite bathroom with hand-held shower and WC, while the second zip and link super-king benefits from an en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. A cosy single bedroom has an en-suite shower over a small bath and there is another super-king room with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Up another flight of stairs are the third-floor bedrooms, again all tastefully decorated and dressed in sumptuous linens and duvets. On this level, you have the choice of three zip and link super-king with en-suite bathrooms with shower over bath and WC. A further super-king bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with hand-held shower and WC and there is a cosy nursery room with two single beds and a family bathroom with shower over bath and WC for your convenience.

Outside, enjoy al fresco drinks on the large enclosed patio area or light the BBQ for relaxed sociable gatherings late into the night. Spread your blanket out on the lawn for sunbathing or an al fresco picnic by the fountain. Younger guests will enjoy the tree swing and there are also 15 acres of grazing for horses available on request.
